 Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation welcomes the private sector to invest in its current ports in Mukalla , Socotra and Nashtoon in the developing the infrastructure and the development of berths and wharves, as well as the future ports construction in the reserved lands for the corporation in Hadramout at (Barum and Dhabah)areas and in Al-Mahra governorate at (Khalfot) as well. These reserved lands overlooking the Arabian Sea have been waiting for investors for years to invest in accordance with the Yemeni laws and legislation.

Article (7) of the establishment decision stipulates that the Corporation has the right to conclude agreements and / or concession contracts to manage and / or develop any of the seaports or any of its components with the private sector after the approval of the Minister. In these such cases, the agreements or contracts are the organization and control of mutual relations and commitments between the corporation and the second party / signatories. The corporation Chairman of the Board shall submit periodic evaluation reports to the Minister of Transport on the implementation of such agreements or contracts, or establishing shareholding companies with a partner in accordance with the applicable laws.

Development of Mukalla Seaport in Partnership with the private sector:

The Corporation proposed the following to expand Mukalla Seaport :

First Option :

Extension of the main breakwater and construction of a berth with length of 300 M. along the berth number (1).

Second Option :

Construction of a new breakwater and building three berths for the back area behind the main breakwater.

The expansion of the seaport requires the country approval, and the competent advisory body, to study the two options and choose the appropriate option and funding the project.

Future Ports Projects of the Arabian Sea Ports Corporation:

The Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation seeks to find sources of funding for its future projects in order to improve its works. The corporation welcomed the partnership with the private sector for the construction of strategic seaports in the future:

The Construction Project of Barum Commercial Seaport in Hadramout Governorate :

The seaport area is 11,888,236 square meters. conducted studies on the future Barum seaport.

The results of the project study as below :

1- Constructing two berths of (700 meters) with a 14-meter submersible.

2 - one breakwater with a length of (1000) meters.

3 - the area of rotation diameter (420) meters.

Construction of Dhabah Port in Hadramout by B.O.T. System :

The area of the seaport land (1,800,000) square meters In addition to an area in the sea (1,700,000) square meters, studies on the future site of Dhabah seaport , and the results of the study as the following:

1- Construction of nine berths (4400) meters with a submersible of (12-16 m).

2 – Two breakwaters .

3 - The area of rotation diameter (550) meters.

Construction of Qarma Seaport in Socotra Governorate.

The area of the seaport is (1,280,000) square meters, studies on the site of Qarma seaport. The results of the study are :

1- Construction of six berths with a length of (1,115) meters and a submersible of (10-3) meters.

2 - Two breakwaters with length of (2,800) meters.

3 - the area of rotation diameter (550) meters.

This project will be funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

Construction of Qana Seaport in Shabwa Governorate.

The total area reserved for the future Qena seaport project is 34,800,000 square meters and is considered as a promising land because of its natural characteristics and terrain, which will allow it to be a strategic seaport in the region.

It is a large area waiting for technical studies.

Construction of Khalfot Seaport in Al-Mahra Governorate.

The area of ​​the port is (9,500,000) square meters, studies on the site of the future seaport, and The results of the study are :

1- Construction of three berths with a length of (1,200) meters and a submersible of (15) meters.

2 - Two breakwaters with length of (2,750) meters.

3 - The area of ​​rotation diameter (500) meters.

The corporation has conducted numerous studies on the comprehensive technical aspects of the sites of these future projects on the coast of the Arabian Sea and waiting for a real partnership with the private sector, and allows the private sector to carry out special technical studies on these future projects.
